Stsdev 1.3 FileNotFound exception

description

This may be similar to the other error posted.

When I try and create a new 'Empty Solution (C# Assembly)' I am getting a FileNotFound exeption "Could not find file 'abc'" where abc is the name of the project it was trynig to create.

It works fine when I create an 'Empty Soltuon (No Assembly) - but of course that it not the option I would like to use :)

Does anyone have a workaround for this as it kind of prevents one from using the tool.

Upate:
I fixed this by rebuilding the source (MSBUILD) on my dev environment (got round the first FileNotFound exception but produced another one referring to the keyfile). Then when creating the new solution for keyfile, I just chose, new key, typed a name and hit ok. Trying to specify any other location than what was default caused the project to crash the second time. Seems to work now :)

same issue but I got around it by making sure the new keyfile was in the same path as the solution.
ex. Solution: HelloWorld
ex. Path: C:\Devprojects\Samples
ex. keyfile: C:\Devprojects\Samples

hey I can live with this one.

ok I take back my previous comment. It only works for the 3.0 solutions. 3.5 is a NO-GO

I wanted to start application pages project for visual studio 2008 framework 3.5, bu the FileNotFound exception was thrown. So I just created new project for framework 3.0 and then manually converted to 3.5 from properties screen.

Version 1.4 has now been released and includes this fix.
